I built Steady because I needed it, and because I thought maybe you might too. The little companion beside me is Sprout, Steady's new mascot.
Living with late-diagnosed autism and ADD, I've been through a lot of different habit-tracking and productivity apps, but most of them were just too much. Way too many features, too many notifications, too much pressure to keep up with. When I eventually did stop using those apps, I realised that they didn't make my life any easier. They just made me feel worse.
So I wanted to change that. Steady, which didn't have the name when the idea first came to mind, was actually an idea that my mum came up with. She wanted me to try and make a tool for neurodivergent people: an app, in the form of a daily life tracker that had a simple layout, was easy to use, and had specific explanations for each feature. Accessibility options were my own addition to that list.
However, I didn't start building Steady right away. It took me a good while to work up the courage to actually begin. But once I did, it quickly became a passion project that I've poured a lot of love and care into. I wanted to make something I would actually want to use, and that would be genuinely helpful for people like me.
Meet Sprout
Sprout is Steady's mascot and a gentle reminder that growth doesn't have to happen all at once. Some days you might get a lot done; other days, simply just showing up is enough. Sprout is here for both— quietly cheering you on, without pressure or judgment.
No subscription to forget, no paywall to bump into on a hard day, no ads watching you.
Everything you do in Steady stays on your device. No cloud, no backend, no one else involved.
If the day goes badly and you don't check in, Steady will be there tomorrow. Without guilt, without a streak warning, without making it worse.

Your data stays on your device
Everything you do in Steady is stored locally on your device only. There are no servers, no cloud storage, and nothing is sent to me or to anyone else.
What Steady stores
Steady may store the tasks, routines, habits, mood or energy check-ins, settings, and other information you choose to add inside the app.
What Steady doesn't collect
Steady doesn't collect names, email addresses, account details, location data, analytics, advertising data, or tracking data.
No accounts or third-party tracking
Steady doesn't require an account and doesn't use advertising cookies, analytics tools, or third-party tracking services.
Deleting your data
You can delete your Steady data at any time from 'Settings'. You can also remove the data by clearing your browser or app storage.
Important note about local storage
Because your data is stored only on your device, it may be lost if you clear your browser data, switch devices, uninstall the app, or reset your device.
Contact form
If you contact me through the website, I may receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, and message. This information is only used to reply or follow up on your message, and it's not connected to your Steady app data.
Sensitive information
Steady is designed as a planning and overview tool. You should avoid adding highly sensitive information that you wouldn't want stored on your own device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the update date above will reflect that. If Steady ever adds accounts, cloud storage, analytics, or syncing, this policy will be updated clearly.
Your rights
If I process personal information about you through contact messages, you can ask to access, correct, or delete that information by contacting me. If you believe your personal data hasn't been handled properly, you have the right to contact Datatilsynet, 'the Danish Data Protection Agency'.
